Irissol Arce is a diversity, equity and inclusion champion with a reputation for building bridges, breaking down barriers, and forging new pathways. As Senior Director for Northwestern Mutual, Arce combines over 20 years of experience in international business, tech, community impact, and workforce culture development to offer strategic direction, thought leadership, and targeted diversity, equity and inclusion strategies. She’s also charged with driving and executing efforts focused on advancing women; and continuing to elevate the company’s position as a leader in the space. 


Outside of Northwestern Mutual, she’s a trusted coach to senior leaders looking to improve their effectiveness and ability to lead diverse teams.

Christina is the Co-Founder of Women's Entrepreneurship Week in Milwaukee; as well as the Client Success Manager at Socialeads, an AI & Machine-Learning tech startup based out of Milwaukee. 


Christina was the former Director of Operations at Startup Milwaukee, and is excited to bring a similar ecosystem to women entrepreneurs. 


She's extremely passionate about Golf and traveling to warm places.

Kira Lafond, became Market President and Publisher of Milwaukee Business Journal in July of 2016.


She oversees a team of talented editorial, events, audience development and advertising professionals who work every day to help their readers grow their businesses, advance their careers and simplify their professional lives. Prior to becoming Publisher, Kira served as the Milwaukee Business Journal Director of Advertising for two years. She spent the balance of her 30+ year career in radio sales and management where she led teams of as many as 100 to financial success.


Kira never expected to leave radio, but when the opportunity to lead the Milwaukee Business Journal team came up, she jumped at it. “There is a magic that happens when business people engage with MBJ. We keep them informed, educate them on the latest business developments and most importantly, we connect them with other professionals so they can grow their business.”


In addition to her role as publisher, Kira serves on the Boards of Directors of The Guesthouse, Sojourner Family Peace Center, Milwaukee Women Inc., and Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast.
